Hurtin’ When You’re A Flirtin’
2003

Well, me and ol’ Sally got into my van went a crusin’ on a Saturday night
Stopped by a bar to have ourselves a brew ol’ Sal’ was a beautiful sight
Everybody dancin’ havin’ a good time to the band up upon the stage
Then Sally said, “Excuse me, I need to get some air!” the band it was all the rage

Suddenly, I noticed the bass player missin’
“Oh! Where in the heck could he be?”

Well, I’m a hurtin’ when your a flirtin’
With the boys in the band
In the back seat of my van
Well I’m a hurtin’ and that’s for certain
Now I’m cryin’ in my beer
As I wipe away these lonely tears

Well, I was sittin’ there in agony the band played on man I was a pitiful sight
Watchin’ that ol’ bass player back on the stage thinkin’ ‘bout startin’ a fight
The waitress she was bringin’ doubles to my table easin’ the pain of my plight
When I gazed on the dance floor lookin’ for my Sally but my darlin’ she was no where in sight

Then I looked back on stage the drummer was missin’
“Oh! Where in the heck could he be?”

Well, I’m a hurtin’ when your a flirtin’
With the boys in the band
In the back seat of my van
Well I’m a hurtin’ and that’s for certain
Now I’m cryin’ in my beer
As I try to make this night disappear

Well, the waitress yelled out, “This is last call!” I knew it was time to go
I stumbled off my chair lookin’ for my Sally I was feelin’ ‘bout half past low
Out in the parkin’ lot my van was gone, “Now where in the heck could it be?”
Back inside, the four man band, was tearin’ down but now there’s only three

Suddenly, I noticed the guitar player missin’
“Oh! Where in the world could he be?”

Well, I’m a hurtin’ when your a flirtin’
With the boys in the band
In the back seat of my van
Well I’m a hurtin’ and that’s for certain
Now I’m cryin’ in my beer
As I wipe away these lonely tears
