The Latest News! - North & South Bluegrass and Country Music Band

On June 9th, DigitalDean Photography traveled to Clifton Mills, Ohio and shot the promo photos for North & South's new CD release due out later this month.  Take a look!  Just one more part of the recording experience provided at Studio D

'North & South' finished their recording sessions on their debut CD which grew from just being a couple of demo songs to a 12 song production.  North and South is a very talented local four piece Blue Grass band.  Listen to the "Where Do The Good Times Go" medley of songs.  For bookings, call Joe at 937-974-1753 or Patty at 937-726-2280.

The Paul David Bach Band finished up their recording sessions on May 31st.  Now the fine-tuning and mixing process begins!  Listen to local singer-song writer, Erin Higgins of Higgins-Madewell, sing Paul David Bach's "I'll Never Want to Go", featuring Kristen McNabb on violin and Wayne Hobbs on steel guitar.  Hot!!  DigitalDean Photography traveled to The Brigg in Troy, Ohio to shoot the promo shots for Paul David Bach's new CD release.

Rick Bashore and Junior Smith finished two of the movements of Rick's ballet.  That project is moving along very well!  We're hoping to finish up that one-hour, 100+ track piece by this fall.

Studio D welcomes Dave Hanley who performed commercial voice over work on May 9th.

Other News - Phil Bennington continues work on his tribute to the BRD House.  Gary Brooks did a remote live recording at the Northern Hill Church in Clayton, Ohio.  Paul David Bach is enjoying continued success with his commercial release of his CD, "Off Into The Sunset" while he finishes work on his latest CD. "Off Into The Sunset" is receiving great reviews!!  Congratulations, Paul David!!  The CD is available for just $10 via Pay Pal from Studio D (just send us an e-mail); also available from CDBaby or at any live performance.  John DeBoer is enjoying his commercial release of "Shadowland Flute Songs".

Jimmy Kays - 1946-2009

We lost a great musician, story teller and friend on April 19th, Jimmy Kays.  Jimmy always performed at Mountain Days each year.  We fashioned together a slide show of our pictures of Jimmy presented to the audio of his performance of "Mr. Music".  From 'Cat Fishin' to "Chuckie Beans Summer", Jimmy will always be remembered as "Mr. Music".
